About Us

In 3A we have 26 STAR students, that’s 13 boys and 13 girls! Here is a list of first names that you may need for any correspondence:

Please be aware that we are a peanut/tree nut free school. In our group this year we have the following food allergies:

-hazelnuts, walnuts, pecans, almonds, peanuts, tree nuts, chick peas, garbanzo beans, green beans, string beans, green peas, pea pods

Word Families

Attached is a link to many word families. When working with your child what you want to do is write the ending of the word, have them say it, and then have them write as many words as they can that have that ending. Challenge them to use blends to make longer words. Once you have completed some of the word families or you feel your child is ready for some challenges, give them "ment", "ture", "tion", "ous" as an ending and see what words they can come up with. This will help your child with both reading and writing!
